Testes!

Ok, I have all my files transferred over to the new server, but I still need to tweak the cgi files so you people can leave insightful comments, like "u suck, anime rulz!" and "Michael Ian Black is HAWT!" I'll get around to it this afternoon.

Love me.

Hey kids. I've been spending a lot of time on WinMX lately. If you ever check out the chat channels on WinMX, look for Superman's Lair (Welcome to Smallville). I hang out in there. My user name is *geek*girl*. Yes, it's a tribute to my SiCA, Dena. Love ya, D!

I just downloaded a clip of Smallville 3x04, Slumber. We get to see some Clark bootay in it. Best. Episode. Evar.

In other news, the old Nazi guy who hands out carts at Walmart officially hates me. The other day I was leaving the store with some groceries and a Walmart employee who had just bought a dvd was walking out in front of me. As he went past the theft protection sensors, the dvd set off the "please return to have your package checked, you rotten thief" recording. The Walmart Nazi stepped in front of my cart and demanded to see my reciept. I should have run his ass over. Instead I told him that I hadn't even passed through the sensors yet, so it couldn't possibly be me that was setting off the alarm. The guy with the dvd came back and was trying to show the Nazi that he was the one who triggered the alarm. The Nazi just brushed him off and started squinting at my reciept. After a few seconds I grabbed the reciept back from him and kept walking. He didn't do anything but glare at me. I swear, if I ever accidentally run someone over in the Walmart parking lot, I hope it's him.

/ rant over.

Zack brought me a Union Jack tank top, so I'll look like a friggin' Spice whore (yay!), and a pair of Chucks with the US flag printed on them. I'm never going to wear the shirt without the sneakers, and vice-versa. Maybe I can get some jeans with rasta colours to complete the outfit. 1337! (ha.)

It's so good to have him home. While he was gone I slept with my .45 under his pillow. Just in case some jerkass decided to try and break in, y'know? When I picked Z up at the airport I found out that American Airlines has it's collective head so far up it's collective ass it's almost funny. Not only was his plane an hour late, but they switched gates at the last minute. And the flight information wasn't displayed on the stupid info monitors they have scattered throughout the airport. I found his gate literally one minute before he walked out. Go me.

This afternoon I have to go to the bank and deposit the $70 in funny coloured English money he forgot to exchange before he left. While I'm there I'm going to try and get one of those new peach $20 bills.

I might be heading out on the road this week. Word has it I'll be up in Seattle before too long. I need to get my ass in gear and write some of my friends up there. Hi, guys! I know I never write y'all back, but you still want to see me, yes? You know you love meeeeeee.

I just went up the beer/wine store. They know me by name there. I told the old man who was ringing up my Shiner & Guinness that they must think I'm a raging alcoholic. He grinned and said "We don't judge here." What he obviously meant was "Dearie, you are the biggest lush in town, and we love ya for it!" Ha.

I leave in a half hour or so to pick up Zack from the airport. Yay, presents! he's almost home!

I don't usually reference news stories on here, but according to the bastard news service on Yahoo "Tall people earn considerably more money throughout their lives than their shorter co-workers." So what I want to know is... where in the hell is MY bling-bling?!?

Oh, wait, I'm a blue collar worker. Mybad.

I just got off the phone with Zack. He's enjoying himself in England. He saw David Blaine today. I guess the English have stopped hating him, because Zack said every time David stood up or waved to the crowd everyone went nuts clapping and yelling.

Zack also saw Big Ben ("That's the big fucking clock, right?") and Westminster Abbey. And he spent a bunch of time walking around Piccadilly Circus. He's got all day tomorrow to continue his exploration of London before he has to fly home. He also wants to see "the big building with the fuzzy headed guys." I told him how to get to Buckingham Palace.

I miss him.

I, myself, tied one on last night and woke up hungover this morning. Blah. Tomorrow I'm going over to the parent's house for a bit. Then I'm going to come home and clean like mad so it looks like I haven't been totally lazy while Z has been gone. Yay.

Slow Roosevelt is playing in Denton tonight, but I haven't made up my mind if I'm going or not.

Zack is enjoying England. He said some of the guys were taking him around to see the sights. He's taking lots of pictures and bringing back presents. RIGHT, Z? PRESENTS. YOU'RE BRINGING ME SOMETHING COOL, RIGHT?

/ subtle.

Meanwhile, on the home front, I'm so bored I think I might faint. I was going to head down to San Antonio for a couple days, but Tiffany has a new job so she won't be able to stalk and harass our old friends with me. There's no point in going without her. DAMN YOU AND YOUR DESIRE TO HELP SUPPORT YOUR KIDLET, TIFF.

You people are driving me to drink.

Travis Fimmel couldn't act his way out of a wet paper bag. The boy is HOTT with a capital Q, but DAMN... I'm glad I didn't watch the WB's premiere of Tarzan last week. I hope he didn't give up his Calvin Klein jobby-job.

Travis Fimmel
pretty, pretty.

I just got back from dropping Zack off at the airport. He leaves in a little over an hour for England. *sigh* I'm depressed.

On my way home I saw a yellow Ferrari pulled over by DPS on the tollway. That made me laugh. Usually the people who own fancy sports cars don't drive fast enough to get speeding tickets.

I should be putting on my war paint right now, but instead I'm sitting in front of the stupid computer. We have to go to the stupid mall today to get Zack some new jeans. He's flying out to stupid England tomorrow at 7:30 pm. I'm going to be alone for a whole frigging week, and the thought of it is making me cranky.

On Wednesday I went out to my parent's house to bring Padre a present Z and I had bought him. It's a Harley Davidson ring. I was worried it wouldn't fit, but Padre said it was perfect. Yay!

I spent a good hour in my brother's old bedroom (which is now full of boxes of our old stuff) looking through some of my old stuff. I keep the strangest momentos. I have locks of hair from old friends, calendar pages that have things like "The hot guy from history sat next to me in class today!" and "I met Gavin Rossdale!" and "Tiffany Loves Kyle 4-EVER!" written on them, pieces of fabric from favourite old shirts, crystal teardrop pieces that were stolen from hotel chandeliers (by my more crazy friends), guitar picks, programs from plays, concert ticket stubs, paint from old cars, and toilet paper bows made by kids I used to babysit. Not to mention the hours and hours of video tapes of my friends and I goofing off. One of these days I need to sit down and make a scrapbook of the more important stuff and then toss the rest.

Yeah, like that's going to happen.

Before I left my parent's place I caught my mom feeding one of my dogs pieces of cotton candy. Great, like the dogs aren't fat enough. Mom snickered and said "I like to see dogs eat cotton candy. They try to chew... and it's gone." Sweet merciful crap, that was funny. My mom cracks me up. My dad does, too. One time Zack and I forgot our key to their front gate, so I called Dad on my cell phone. "Padre, will you come out here and open the gate for us?" He replied "Sure thing. I'll be there with bells on." A minute later he came out of the house with some sleigh bells. Ha!

Crap. I've really got to get ready now. Stupid internet... it's always distracting me. I blame Al Gore.

Zack found a new motocross track in Liberty Hill (north of Austin). It's frigging HUGE. They have open ride on the first weekend of every month. Yesterday and today we went and watched and took pictures. Next month we're bringing the bike and the four wheeler.

Random stuff:

- Z leaves next Sunday (the 12th) for England.
- The new season of Smallville is AWESOME.
- I still haven't gone to the DPS office.

Class dismissed.

Less than an hour to the season premiere of Smallville. Obsess much? I do.

Texas now offers drivers license renewals and address change services online. Zack went to the site awhile back and in less than a minute he had changed his address. Convenient, yes? Yes, unless you're a CDL driver. Then you have to drag your sorry ass down to the DPS office and request the change in person. &$%#!!!!
