THQ Supercross, here we come! I ordered tickets for Zack, me, Megan, and Ryan today. They look like pretty good seats, too. April 17th at Texas Stadium. YAY!
I got a new cell phone. Now *I* will be the person standing behind you in line at the grocery store with the annoying A-ha "Take On Me" ringtone. Yay!
I'll be 30 in 4 days. Woe. Jeez, I'm starting to pass or catch up to characters in my favourite books and movies.

The hottie of the week is Kevin Windham.

Hottiness factor while riding: 10
With his lovely wife.
In other news, I almost fell down the stairs this morning while taking the trash out. 6:30 a.m. is not my friend. One of these days I'm going to wake up too early and break my rotten neck. Good times.

R and I walked to the library today. 6.5 miles round trip. I must be fucking insane. :) We had barely left when we were almost run over by an elderly couple in a Caddilac who were driving on the wrong side of the road. Four lane road with a grassy/concrete median. Damn those elderly drivers!
My feet are blistered, I'm a teensy bit sunburned, but it was fun. I enjoyed it. Except for the near-killing, that is.
I'm going to medicate myself with vodka now. Ta.

Holy crap, I don't care if Nike now owns Converse as long as they keep offering fucking AWESOME shoes like these.
They make me think of Tanya.
My birthday is coming up soon. Do I want those shoes or a new tattoo? Shoes. Tattoo. Tattoo. Shoes. Dammit!

My buddy Rob has chastised me for not updating my links page in over two years, so that's what I'm going to do today. :)
Check out the following bad-ass sites in the meantime:
RetroCRUSH - Robert Berry's deliciously sardonic site of everything you loved when you were a child. Check out the forum!
Wirehed - Fun and interesting news for geeks and geeks-by-association! Scott updates constantly, so make it your homepage. ;)
Yesterday Zack went to see the doc for his one-week post-op appointment. All is well. The doc gave us a nifty 12 minute video of the surgery. Nothing really gory, just stuff he saw on the camera inside Z's knee. It made me queasy while I was watching it. Not because stuff like that bothers me, but that' was the inside of my husband's leg I was looking at. There was this little Pac-Man like shredder thing that the doc used to remove bone and tissue that almost made me toss my cookies. Zack loved the video. Blech.
Another link, but this one is for my "Woe is me, I'm getting old" pity parade:
Falling For Days - They're a metal band. I haven't heard their music yet. I'm posting the link because I used to babysit their singer, Stephan. I'M OLD, DAMMIT!
That is all.

It's snowing out! Glee! There are some little kids in our courtyard carrying around big pieces of cardboard. Ambitious little snots, considering that this is possibly the flattest piece of land in 20 counties. They keep throwing their cardboard onto the snow, and then throwing themselves onto the cardboard. It's hilarious!
Now they're throwing snowballs at apartment windows. I really should have the video camera out. This is better than cable tv!
Click here to see our snowy courtyard. The fat dog in the middle is Squeakers. :)

Happy last minute Darwin Day! Thanks for letting me know it was a holiday, Rob!
Z's surgery went well. He had a really awful day today, but he's one of those "I'll just rub dirt on it" kind of guys. Luckily he's able to fortify the dirt with Vicodin and Percocet. The hospital hooked him up with a couple of machines for his knee. One of them has a little cooler that I have to keep full of ice, which entails many trips to our apartmentmclubhouse ice machine. It has a cooling pad that keeps his leg from swelling up. The other machine flexes his leg for him. It's set up on the couch. He puts his left leg in it and it straightens it out, then flexes it to whatever angle we tell it to. He's up to 50 degrees, I think. He has to use the flex machine for about 8 hours a day.
Not much else going on here. I'm playing nurse, and happily, Zack is a much better patient these days than he was when he had his appendix out.
Oh, I made my first roast today! It was damn tasty. I only had to consult four friends and a dozen websites to get it right. I honestly think that if I didn't have internet access I would curl up and die. How sad.

- Zack's ACL surgery is on Wednesday morning. He'll be off work Wed, Th, and Fri, and then the following week he'll be working from home.
- Z's in the living room watching a bike race right now. He yells for me every time someone messes up. A few minutes ago Kevin Windham (*sigh.* he's ever so dreamy.) went ass-over-teakettle.
- Last Sunday I went to donate platelets and one of the techs asked me if I would consider doing a two-arm donation because they already had a machine set up for a two-arm and if they didn't use it by the end of the day they would have to throw it away. I hate waste, so I said ok. I ended up giving three bags of platelets.
- Ian Somerhalder always has too much makeup on.
- Yesterday I got into my car and saw that a bird had pooped on my windshield. I don't know what the bird had been eating, but the poop was gold and had glitter in it. It was the prettiest bird crap I've ever seen.
