12/10/2001 Entry: "grocery shopping"

Grocery shopping is a pain in the ass. Making out a list, finding a cart that doesn't try to go in two different directions at once, moving up and down the aisles while dodging old women with huge purses. Comparision shopping, looking for the best quality at the lowest price. Trying to find items with the lowest sodium, highest calcium and least amount of fat. And it's so annoying to get to the register and pay out enough money for me to buy either a) two new domains for two years OR b) a swanky new scanner. There are other things which could be bought with that money, but those are what I want right now. And in two weeks I'll go back and shell out the money again. Do I really need that Nutella? Or bottles of semi expensive merlot? Can't I live off salads and tuna fish? Peanut butter sandwiches? *sigh* No. Damn me.
