09/05/2002 Entry: "Pepsi = terrorists"

I just got a frantic phone call from my mother. Today Mom heard from some woman outside a free Indian clinic that she had heard from someone that all Pepsi products were going to be tainted by terrorists. According to the woman:

"I heard from a friend that a lady was standing in line at a store and the guy in front of her didn't have enough change to pay for his purchase. She handed over a bit of change to cover his purchase so she could hurry up and get through the line. When she went outside the man was waiting for her. He told her that since she did him a favour, he was going to do her a favour. He told her not to drink any Pepsi products because the terrorists were going to poison people with them or something."

My mom was seriously freaked. She wanted to know if this was something like the "stay out of the mall on a certain date" kind of thing. I told her it was definitely an urban myth, but she still told me to absolutely not drink Pepsi again. Ever. Also, I'm supposed to tell Z's mom & sister not to drink Pepsi products. Woo. My family is insane. Yeah.

pepsi is the devil anyways.

Yeah I heard that same story last week. supposedly took place in detroit. I think they really are going to go after the coke products once they fool everyone to stay away from pepsi

they can keep the pepsi, that stuff is pretty much carbonated ass. i'd hate to see them poison the coke, however i'd almost take it personally if they screwed with mountain dew (the nectar of the gods).

bastards.

I got caught up in the whole "don't go to the mall on Halloween" one...Friends were calling me telling me to stay home sick from work )cuz I worked in the mall) It was so weird.

They already have the terrorist pepsi product on the market now that's poison... it's called Pepsi Blue. Talk about carbinated ass, Zak. YUCK! and if they screw with my dew, i'll be all up in thier goat rapping-towl wearing-usa hating-cave living-dew tampering-momma's boys, like flies on a terd..... HE-YUCK!

Thank God I like Coke. Always have always will, even when I worked for Pepsi.

They just found two 20ml bottles of pepsi SEALED! with pestacides in them. A man got sick instantly after he drank it and is in the hospital.

i'm from canada and my teacher told me yesterday, nov. 15th, that her friend was in walmart and that exact thing happened... a man didn't have enough money to pay for his purchase, she helped him and he helped her by warning her about pepsi... so that's happening here in canada

Posted by Amanda @ 11/16/2002 10:31 PM CST

oh and one more thing.. remember that pepsi is the same product as mountain dew and many other popular pops

Several thoughts on this. one would be, the nice thing about death, it's still one to a customer, with street gangs, terrorist, bad drivers, bad hearts, plauge, wars or snakebite, whatever... sooner or later something will get you and one wont make you any deader than another. When it's your time, it's your time.

Antoher thought, as with all things in life, you pay your nickle, you take your chances. Everything is a gamble to some degree.

last thought, I didn't quit flying, I wont give up Pepsi either... If I let them alter my life, or stop me from doing the things I enjoy, they win.... piss on them.

is it coke or pepsi? i was at the movies on friday night (ec 12) and my friend told me not to drink it because it contains poison after dec 12. and today i started lookin it up on the net, i was also talking to a friend of mine who told me that his friend was at a store in moncton and the same thing happened with the man who needed change, except he warned her about coke, not pepsi.... and is it true?

Posted by Em @ 12/15/2002 11:34 AM CST

Heard a similar story here in NJ, except the girl helped the guy pay for his gas at the gas station. This was in August and he said not to drink it after September 12. Not sure if I believe it, but I stay away from Pepsi now, just in case. Although I'm still doin the dew.

Hahah....The story has reached all the way to Pictou County, Nova Scotia, Canada...Except when the story is told it is in our local supermarkets and when we say the word indian here we think "native" on middle eastren people. This time it happend to one of my friend's mother's bother in law...Did you notice it never really happens to anyone you really know? This sent people into a bit of a frenzy because there is a Pepsi bottling plant in our town. What are they going to think of next?

Posted by Courtney @ 12/22/2002 04:02 PM CST

i find it pretty weird that all pepsi and coke products have all gone on sale all of a sudden (super cheap), but that just might be because of christmas and what-not.

Posted by chris childs @ 12/24/2002 06:46 PM CST

Well, I just gotta say.....I have a Pepsi in my hand from the time I open my eyes until I close them for the night (and even then there's one on my bedside table...LOL). I'll NOT stop drinking the ABSOLUTELY BEST drink made and not even Bin Laden himself could keep me away from it. If they send drugs thru Pepsi, then I guess I'll go happy! Piss On 'Em~
